Name: Amano Miho (天野-美穂, Japanese Order)
Old Name: Amano Ryoichi
Gender: Female

  • Miho's body physically changes when she transforms into Sailor Venus, transitioning from assigned male to female. Because of htis, Miho is very often reluctant to change back, as she doesn't like the complications the body she was born with give her. It doesn't seem to be a case of fully hating her birth body, as she admits she doesn't feel overly uncomfortable in it... but she also admits that, given the choice, she would make the body she gets as Sailor Venus permanent.

  • Miho tends to come off as the general "sweet bubbly girl" type. She's decently energetic, tries to be as friendly as she can, and goes really hard into extremely feminine things, even to the point of forcing her voice to be high pitched. While part of this is who she is and who she wants to be -- Miho genuinely wants to be a kind, caring person that people can turn to -- some of it is more as a way to get herself taken more seriously as a girl.

  • Which is which is most obvious when she's alone with friends. When in such a situation, she still stays cheerful and upbeat, but other feelings -- negative or positive -- come through as well, since she's not trying to hide them. She'll also let her voice drop a few octaves down, though she still tries to keep it in a "feminine" tone -- just not one that's the typical very high tone that most people assume. She also tends to make faces at some of the things she's gotten, and will toss them aside to not look at (mostly things like overly cutesy/girly charms, backpacks, jackets, even clothes), because while she has no problem with people like that stuff, she genuinely doesn't. She just goes with it because she feels it makes her more "credible".

  • That being said, her time with the Senshi and their unwavering acceptance of her, she's become more comfortable showing her real self in public. She still does fall back on pretending to like a few things here and there... but she's getting better.

  • Miho was born with a sharp tongue and she knows how to use it. When confident, especially as Sailor Venus, she can be snarky, a little cocky, and insulting to their enemies -- though it's not insulting in a way that shows arrogance, but more to keep herself focused, temper her own fear, and see if she can off-balance them. She will never, ever say bad things about innocent people or her friends, though, and her friends are the only one that see her snarky side -- because her friends are the only ones who know she means it playfully.

  • Her relationship with her parents is nonexistent. While they still make sure she's housed, fed, and cared for in all the important ways, they are incredibly cold and distant to her -- them and her are actively strangers now. They resent "losing" their "son" and won't accept that she's the way she is, so while they might not deadname or misgender her, they instead go out of their way to interact with her as little as possible. As such, Miho has an intense desire for a caring parental figure and becomes easily jealous over kids who have that, though she doesn't show it if she can help it.
